CMS MNRL WSC 1971
For 2021, MNRL will be going back 50 years and we will be continuing to offer weekly races on Tuesday nights (Eastern Time) by running concurrent championships.
The major offering for MNRL drivers will be a year-long World Sportscar Championship 1971 (WSC 1971) of 11 races using the WSC 1971 mod. Developed within CMS by a team led by Saturday Chapter Admin George Angelidis and thanks to the passionate work by Apex Modding, Chief Wiggum, CrossPly, Jon Uyan, and the CMS Beta testers, the cars from this time have been brought together in a single mod and series to relive the legend that was the 1971 WSC season Sportscar 5.0 Liter class. The mod features all historical liveries, also designed in-house, by Apex Modding and Ross-Alexander Smith.
Featuring Pro, Am and a Purist class, it provides multiclass racing for racers of differing abilities.
Using a schedule that is a replica of the 1971 WSC season plus real weather, it promises to deliver all the excitement and challenge that MNRL drivers are looking for.
MNRL will also be offering a series of shorter championships that will run consecutively with the WSC 1971, using mods that have been selected by the MNRL community.
