The BMW M4 & M8 COMPETITION sponsored by Mondello Park in association with Motorsport Ireland is the first official, national championship to run under the new iDMC (Irish Digital Motorsport Championship) banner. iDMC provides an official national ranked championship for digital drivers who hold the brand new Motorsport Ireland digital license.  (licenses will be issued on registration)

    There will be a new digital championship every season (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) with the overall winner being crowned Irish national champion.
  3. For the 2020 iDMC Autumn season we're excited to launch the BMW M4 & M8 COMPETITION sponsored by Mondello Park in association with Motorsport Ireland.

    The BMW M4 & M8 COMPETITION uses iRacing's new BMW M4 GT4 for the Pro-Am class and the BMW M8 GTE for the Pro class. The 9 round championship will visit 6 world class circuits and feature a combination on sprint and endurance races.

    For this championship we have continued to push the boundaries of online racing and have some incredible drivers, sponsors and cash prizes lined up. In addition, the top 3 drivers will go on the represent Ireland in the European Sim Racing Finals in December!

Championship Calendar

  1. Round 1: Wednesday September 23rd – Le Mans (45 minute endurance)
    Rounds 2 & 3: Wednesday October 7th – Road Atlanta (2x20 minute sprint x2)
    Round 4: Wednesday October 21st – Spa Francorchamps (45 minute endurance)
    Rounds 5 & 6: Wednesday November 4th – Silverstone (2x20 minute sprint races)
    Rounds 7 & 8: Wednesday November 18th – Bathurst (2x20 minute sprint race)
    Round 9: Sunday November 29th – Nordschleife VLN Layout (90 minute endurance race)

How To Register

  1. Registering for online races can be a complex and cumbersome process. We aim to take the confusion away. Follow the 3 simple steps below and you'll be racing in no time!
  2. 1.
    To take part in this championship you will need the following:

    > An iracing account with a D licence or above.

    > The BMW M4 GT4 or BMW M8 GTE car (depending on which class you enter) and all the tracks the championship is visiting: Le Mans, Road Atlanta, Spa Francorchamps. Silverstone GP, Bathurst, Nordschleife.

     > A Discord account. Discord is the main channel for communication and is also used for driver's briefing, to communicate additional info and for general driver's chat. Click here to join the Digital Motorsport Discord channel.
  3. 2.
    The entry fee for the BMW M4 & M8 COMPETITION is €19.99

    The entry fee covers 9 rounds, over 6 calendar days. 6 rounds are sprint races and 3 rounds are endurance races. There will also be a practice server open on Monday evenings prior to race day.  Live broadcast & commentary of all races is included as is race control, stewarding, points and penalty systems.

    The entry fee also includes the new Motorsport Ireland Digital License, valued at €32.50 for drivers who do not hold a current MI competition license and €25.00 for drivers who do already hold a current MI competition license.
